Hi everyone, we've seen a recent rise in catalytic convert thefts in our area. These thefts often take less than a minute and target hybrid vehicles or those with high ground clearance. to protect your vehicle, consider these steps:

Secure Parking: if you have a garage, use it. if not, park in well-lit, busy areas or on a driveway covered by CCTV and motion-activated lighting.

Physical Barriers: Ask your dealer about fitting a manufacturer-approved lock, such as the Toyota Catloc, or a guard tested to Sold Secure Golg standards.

Marking: Use a forensic marking kit ( like Smart Water) to etch your converter with a serial number. This makes it harder for thieves to sell and easier for police to track.

Smart parking: Avoid parking half-on-the pavement, as this makes it easier for thieves to slide underneath.

Vigilance: Look out for people jacking up cars or acting suspiciously underneath them. If you see a crime in progress, call 999 immediately.
